Hi there, my name is Len David Mormino.
In my journey, I've had the opportunity to study and work with human wellness, media communications, drama, music and story writing.
These have supported my growth in the following roles.
As an artist, Early in my career, I enjoyed stage, on-camera commercial, corporate, and voice acting for clients such as Madison Gas & Electric, Price-Waterhouse, Anderson Consulting, True Value, National Food Foundation, Chicago Area School Districts, and the Foundation for Madison Public Schools. At that time, I studied acting and voiceover in Chicago's Columbia College, Center Theater, and in 1:1 coaching. Since then, I have also enjoyed writing books and music, creating videos, and coordinating artistic projects that explore some beautiful and tough truths we all have in common. Whenever possible, my focus is on using arts and media to support our community on humanitarian issues. Being a member of SCBWI, ASCAP, Madison and Nashville Songwriter's Groups, and the Director of Vission Enterprises, an LLC, has helped me to evolve in my production of artistic content over the years.
As a counselor and educator, I've worked in Chicago area community counseling centers and the Madison Public Schools since 1993, consistently dedicated to helping students, community, and school systems explore meaningful personal, academic, and career paths, via counseling, training, public speaking, 1-man shows, parent education, group facilitation, and creative teen programming~usually through the arts. I studied Psychology and Radio/Television/Film at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Community Counseling at Loyola University in Chicago, and School Counseling at the UW-Whitewater. My Masters Thesis discussed the "Impacts of Live Theater on Substance Abuse Prevention".
My Creative Mission is to Dig For Gold
What's the "gold"? It's having healthy relationships and a life path that are consistent with your true heart. I aim for books, music, videos, and artistic projects that support and celebrate this.
In every home, work, or creative setting that I've seen, some of the most educational, entertaining, and inspiring moments came from using ARTS, MEDIA, and LITERATURE to communicate important ideas. They can play a powerful role in motivating people, cognitively AND emotionally, to have courageous conversations and take action.
Grateful for the opportunity to serve this mission, I and all who collaborate with Vission Enterprises are committed to creating arts and activities that help adults and youth connect, laugh, and dig for the "gold" in their lives and relationships.
In the Chicago area, I grew up in a fun-loving ethnic home (Italian, Russian, English, Jewish), OY! We had all of the music, noise, food, and chaos that one could handle. I made the move to a neighboring suburb of my wife’s hometown of Madison, Wisconsin in 2000. Here we live, work in public schools, and raise 3 wild and wonderful daughters.
There's nothing more gratifying than supporting my wife and daughters in their own journeys, as well as finding ways to have fun and
make some memories together.

Len's Master's Thesis and first love in the community counseling field with OMNI Youth Services in 1993 was founding, directing, contributing writing, and coordinating a teen theater troupe that created, performed, and processed theatrical scenes on teen issues for over 4000 students per year. It served as both a leadership opportunity for the teen cast, as well as a powerful resource in prevention education for area schools.
